"Task Scheduler failed to launch action "C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\cmd.exe" in instance." Then there is an error that the "Action failed to start". The action is started, and in the details gives the hard path to my script. The task engine received the message to start the task. The "Start the task only if the computer is on AC power" and "Stop if the computer switches to battery power" boxes are checked. The same hard path of the script is in the Start In (Optional) field. There is nothing in the add arguments field. The Program/Script path points correctly to the hard path of the script. It is configured for Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2. It is set to run whether the user is logged on or not. The user account is a local administrator. I have searched the googles and I have tried many things and can't get this thing to work. However, when I create a scheduled task for this it doesn't work. bat file it executes successfully and appends the data to the SQL file and then clears the original file. bat file that appends some data from a file to an SQL database and then clears the original file. I have hit a frustrating brick wall with the Windows 7 Task Scheduler.
